Conversations around some of the most important components and challenges to getting started in New Jersey’s cannabis market will take center stage Feb. 17 in Jersey City for NJ Cannabis Insider’s winter meetup.
The state’s cannabis business community will gather to network with like-minded people, seeking connections and resources they need get their foot in the door or expand their operations in the Garden State’s cannabis industry.
The event at Zeppelin Hall Beer Garden is from 6 to 10 p.m. The program begins at 7 p.m. Purchase tickets here.
Capacity will be limited to allow ample space for attendees to spread out. To keep everyone safe, attendees must show proof of vaccination to enter event and masks must be worn at all times except while eating or drinking.
The content program will include a brief conversation with Cova Software CEO Gary Cohen. We also have a 30-minute panel discussion about real estate, cultivation and equity with:
- Chirali Patel, an attorney and founder of education platform Blaze Responsibly
- Darrin Chandler Jr., a recent license applicant, a real estate consultant and president of Premium Genetics
- Sarah Trent, an attorney, founder of NJ Cannabis Certified and recent provisional awardee for a dispensary license with her company Valley Wellness.
Real estate has become intertwined with conversations around municipal education and economics, Chandler told NJ Cannabis Insider.
“We’re looking to reach out to specific municipalities and educate them if they’ve opted out; or, if they’re going to opt-in, eventually educate them,” he said. “We want to educate landlords on how they could potentially get involved or if they’d even know that the property was zoned for cannabis.”
